This wall was once bare and needed a touch of personality, but we were hesitant to overwhelm the space with conventional built-ins. We kept the light and airy color scheme in mind, while also considering the important detail of the coffered ceiling. By incorporating mostly open shelving and choosing light colors, we achieved a balanced look that seamlessly integrates with the existing design elements.
The bottom row of floating cabinets was designed to be light and not bulky, creating an open feel that effortlessly blends with the overall aesthetic. We opted for glass doors on the shelves to cater to the family's love of board games, providing them with easy access to their collection.
The client’s colorful dishes reflect their heritage, adding a personal touch that makes the room feel more inviting. Remote-controlled LED tape lights were installed to accentuate the middle shelves and create a warm ambiance that elevates the entire room. The end result appears as though it was built with the house, resulting in a space that is both functional and visually appealing.
