An old Durham warehouse building was transformed into a restaurant space with a blend of industrial and classic styles. The exposed red brick wall sets the tone for the space. We collaborated with our client to select the furnishings and the light fixtures, and designed the bar area which features marble countertops and a custom-built back bar. The ambrosia maple wood tables add warmth. The Parisienne café-style cross-back chairs bring a classic element to the overall design. The custom ash wood bench was stained in a dark color that shows off the beautiful pattern of the wood grain. We selected an oversized globe chandelier for the front and a rectangular fixture with glass shades for the back, while the bar area is lit by cage-style pendants. We selected a mix of dark and light colors for the walls to make the space more dimensional.
The overall look of the space matches the vibe of today’s Durham. Reservations are highly encouraged! cucciolodurham.com
