traditional dining room in blue with oval table, chairs, draperies and framed vintage posters

Traditional style embraces layers of colors and textures, detailed furniture, and a touch of history. For the well-appointed dining room, designed in a British traditional style, we focused on creating custom draperies that balance sun control with beauty. We selected two fabrics: a floral embroidered textile and a luxurious teal velvet. To enhance visual interest, we added a multicolored braided trim along the seam between the two fabrics.

The library, over the years, has been thoughtfully curated by our client, combining antiques, modern and traditional furnishings, textiles, a collection of posters, and an impressive array of books. Only a few finishing touches were missing: the perfect paint color and window treatments. For the Roman shades, we opted for a simple yet elegant solid cream fabric with a subtle teal stripe. To complement this, we chose a slightly deeper teal for the walls.

The ‘Zen’ space, as our client refers to it, is located just next to the library. Since the desk is frequently used and receives direct sunlight in the afternoons, we addressed the issue of light control by installing traversing draperies. These draperies not only solved the problem but also brightened the room and softened the overall ambiance, blending both classic and modern elements.

The garden room, with its hydrangeas and bold colors, offers a perfect blend for a casual, inviting space. Roman-style valances add depth to otherwise flat walls, showcasing patterns, while soft folds at the bottom bring a gentle touch. The shades of green and blue create a striking contrast against the white window walls. To frame each valance without creating a seam in the center, we incorporated a navy banding. This sunroom is the ideal place to enjoy a morning coffee, relax, or gather for a family game night.
