Here, we created a design that allows the space to function as both a formal dining room and an office. We were looking to incorporate the style and color palette of the adjacent sitting area into the new design.
Our client wished to incorporate colors from their existing artwork as well as the aforementioned sitting area. The rug tiles have a lighter background to contrast with the floor and dining set. We opted for a darker finish on the custom dining table, and we chose two textiles for the upholstered dining chairs. Complementing the look of the dining set, the host and hostess chairs feature clean straight lines, while the side dining chairs have curved backs. The linear chandelier with crystal details completes the look.
White filing cabinets were selected to serve as anchors for the glassware, and floating shelves were added for wine bottle storage.
The octagon mirror in a slim gold frame reflects the chandelier and all the light that comes in from the outside.
We were happy to provide our clients with a space that serves double function: as a dining room and an office, while complementing the home’s existing aesthetic.
